Production Planning
Production Planning is certainly one of the key areas to ensure smooth running of your production. Ownership of the actual production plan should be within the Logistics Team. If this is not the case in your plant then the process may need to be reviewed. Does your logistics production planner work in harmony with the production supervisor to ensure no down times? Is your Production driven by push or pull? Do you have a 'kanban' system in place? Do you have daily production meetings to make sure targets are being adhered to? If you can answer “yes” to all these questions then you probably have a fairly smooth running production area. If not, ASL will look at the areas of concern and provide the experience and knowledge to fill any gaps.
